27 Feb Alexi & Chris: A Sweet Outdoor Wedding
Alexi and Chris said their “I dos” with an outdoor ceremony and reception full of sweet moments, simple decor, and sage green details. The venue was a private residence with sweeping views of Nashville’s beautiful hills.
Once Alexi was ready in her elegant open-back dress and long veil with large embroidered roses, the first looks began. She had a first look with her father, and then one with Chris. These sweet moments, captured perfectly by KT Sura, were a highlight of this special day!
While Alexi’s bridesmaids wore matching cowl-neck sage green dresses, the groomsmen wore black tuxedos so Chris could stand out in a white jacket with a customized lapel embroidered with their wedding date.
The couple’s simple outdoor ceremony was set overlooking beautiful Tennessee hills with white chairs, simple white rose aisle markers, and freestanding greenery arrangements at the altar. Alexi’s father walked her down the aisle as she held a classic white bouquet filled with soft white, blush, and green florals. Guests cheered as the two tied the knot, and congratulations were given as the newlyweds left the ceremony to “Good Day for Marrying You” by Dave Barnes.
Following the ceremony, guests made their way to cocktail hour where they sipped on wine, beer, and two signature drinks— an aperol spritz and an old fashioned. Passed appetizers consisted of charred beef crostinis made with herbed Boursin and fire-roasted salsa; creamy cucumber bites made with Boursin and pepper jelly; tutti frutti crostinis made with lemon, ricotta, basil, and honey Cocktail hour also included a beverage station with sweet tea, unsweet tea, lemon slices, and assorted sweeteners.
As guests mingled at cocktail hour, Alexi and Chris snuck away for some sunset photos before joining their guests for their tented outdoor reception. The space was set with a classic yet simple design of white linens, sage green napkins, greenery garlands, and rose floral centerpieces. The newly-married couple was introduced to the dance floor with “Run This Town” by Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye, before their first dance to “Growing Old With You” by Restless Road. Guests then munched on a preset plated Mediterranean salad and crostinis as welcome toasts were given and Chris gave a blessing before dinner was served! The meal consisted of honey and thyme roasted vegetables, herb-roasted sweet potatoes, and the guests’ choice of citrus-glazed salmon or roasted Mediterranean chicken.
As dinner came to an end, Alexi and her father danced to “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle before more heartfelt toasts were given to the newlyweds. Guests then flooded the dance floor and danced the night away until it was time for the bouquet toss to “Single Ladies” by Beyonce.
After an evening of celebration, guests made their way off the dance floor for a sparkler send-off where Alexi threw on a white cowgirl hat with a veil attached. How fun!
Congratulations Alexi and Chris! We were honored to be a part of your sweet wedding day. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
