29 Jul Caroline & Paul: Intimate Fall Wedding at Long Hollow Gardens
Caroline & Paul’s intimate fall wedding at Long Hollow Gardens was a day full of sweet and simple traditions.
It wasn’t long after their first date that they were falling in love and knew they would be spending the rest of their lives together. So when Paul proposed to Caroline during a snowy Alaskan sunset, she was ecstatic. With just six months to plan their wedding, the couple brought in the Dream Team for catering and planning services to finalize last minute details.
Caroline wore an elegant wedding dress from Ila Bridal, which perfectly matched her simple greenery, ivory garden roses and white anemone bouquet from Forget Me Not Designs. Paul looked dapper in his United States Air Force uniform, which perfectly suited the Veterans Day weekend wedding. The wedding party was small, with Caroline’s sister serving as the maid of honor and Paul’s father as the best man. Most guests were not Nashville locals, so the couple’s focus was for everyone to catch up and enjoy themselves.
Their vision for the wedding was simple: to keep it light and natural and take in the beautiful fall scenery. A wood wedding arbor styled with white linen and florals served as the backdrop, for the early afternoon outdoor ceremony. Keeping with tradition, the couple chose to wait to see each other until the ceremony. Both said it was well worth it, plus they were still able to capture beautiful sunset photos.
After the emotional ceremony, cocktail hour began with guests munching on an antipasti display. Shortly after, they helped themselves to a crepe station and buffet dinner with items like candied pear salad, gourmet truffle mac & cheese, lemon rosemary chicken and sweet pork tenderloin. The reception tables were elegantly adorned with white linens from Music City Tents & Events and floral centerpieces. Following dinner, guests satisfied their sweet tooth with a three-tiered white frosted cake from Dulce Desserts. If cake wasn’t enough, there was also Oreo, peanut butter and classic cheesecake up for grabs.
Country singer Kyle Mercer, sang beautifully throughout the romantic the evening. As the night wound down, Caroline and Paul’s closet friends and families waved them off by swinging American flags. It was the perfect ending to their Veterans Day weekend wedding.
