03 Mar Claire & Steven: An October Rustic Wedding
Claire and Steven had a simple rustic wedding and reception after they tied the knot.
Claire and her bridesmaids captured the vibe of the fall scenery with their burgundy gowns and bouquets filled with deep wine forest green. Steven and his groomsmen donned classic suits without ties for a more casual look.
Before the evening ceremony began, Claire and Steven had guests get screened for COVID-19. Then they passed out mini hand sanitizers as extra precautionary measures for their outdoor reception. The hand sanitizers also served as seating charts, so guests could stay safe and find their assigned tables.
After the touching ceremony, those in attendance munched on our Southern comfort hors d’oeuvres like chipotle popcorn chicken, grilled smoked sausage, and bacon-wrapped jalapeños.
Once guests had enough appetizers and found their tables, they were seated to a fresh caprese salad. We put our own twist on this classic by adding baby greens and a basil vinaigrette. Then the real Southern feast began with main dishes that included barbecue pulled pork, sweet tea brined chicken, smoked gouda and parmesan macaroni and cheese, and more.
Claire and Steven’s vision for their wedding reception was simple: rustic with a backyard party feel. So we hung twinkling string lights and incorporated lots of fresh greenery in their decor. For the tables, we went with fun vintage-style glassware, simple linens, and dark wood chairs.
Their centerpieces featured modern gold geometric flower vases, candles, more greenery, and wood that created that beautifully romantic and rustic dimension they were looking for. The couple also opted for a floral-filled sweetheart table so they could enjoy their intimate meal together.
To celebrate the fall season, the reception ended with a s’mores station! Everyone had a blast creating the perfect combination of flavors with sweets like dark chocolate and peanut butter cups.
Happiness is contagious and everyone felt it from Claire and Steven. Thank you for allowing our team to be a part of your rustic wedding. We wish you all the best!
