07 Sep Jill & Tim: A Fun & Dreamy Garden Wedding
Jill and Tim celebrated their big day with a romantic and dreamy garden wedding ceremony and reception at CJ’s Off the Square with so many fun, personalized touches.
How did these two get here? None other than the dating app Bumble. Jill & Tim signed up because they weren’t meeting people while out and about—and it turns out they only lived 2 miles away from each other! The rest is clearly history because they’ve been inseparable ever since.
On her wedding day, Jill spent the morning with her girls in the bridal suite. Champagne was delivered straight to them so the celebration could begin as they got ready!
The ceremony took place in the romantic, Southern garden at CJ’s Off the Square where Jill and Tim read their vows and said “I do” in front of a breathtakingly beautiful floral arch, which was adorned to the front of a gazebo with a glamorous chandelier inside.
Following the ceremony, guests took a stroll through the garden as they sipped on signature cocktails and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres. Mini ham biscuits, crab cakes, and mini BLT bites were served with classic Old Fashioneds and Palomas.
Guests made their way to the Pavilion for the reception, which was decorated with a stunning hanging arrangement in the center that incorporated rosy pink florals and hanging lights bulbs, creating the dreamiest ambiance. A trendy neon sign that said “better together” was set up against a boxwood wall as the perfect photo op for guests. The table centerpieces were floral arrangements that matched the hanging installment, surrounded with moss, modern table numbers in geometric stands, and candles. Clear acrylic chairs were set up at the head table to make it pop among the others.
Mr. and Mrs. Cocklin were announced into the reception as husband and wife and shared their first dance to “Pushin’ Up Daisies” by Brothers Osborne.
After mingling, dinner was served! The star of the show was brown sugar brisket made with bourbon-laced BBQ sauce. Dinner included delicious sides of sun-dried tomato mac and cheese, Boursin and caramelized onion whipped potatoes, and a spiced cranberry salad. Loved ones later gave speeches as everyone toasted to the newlyweds with glasses of champagne or grape juice!
The couple also had the ShutterBus on site, a vintage VW Bus set up as a photo booth with the most fun props for guests. On top of those accessories, Jill and Tim included colorful light up hats, glow sticks, and sunglasses to liven up the dance floor. There was also a sign that gave guests some dance floor rules: “The dance floor should be occupied at all times, and playing the air guitar is definitely encouraged.” The couple also incorporated little napkins with fun facts about themselves into their reception!
The dance floor filled, and guests pulled out their hats and sunglasses to dance the night away. Mini cheeseburger sliders and crispy tater tots with Nashville aioli were served as a late night snack to keep bellies full while the celebration continued.
As the party came to an end, family, friends, and loved ones made their way outside for a sparkler send off! Jill changed into fun, sparkly, silver Golden Goose sneakers and a custom jean jacket for their spunky exit.
Congratulations, Jill & Tim! We were honored to have been a part of your special day and we wish you a lifetime of happiness! Scroll on for more photos of their day by Harp and Olive.
